The “Sarsina Bike Experience” project promotes the San Vicinio Cycle Route, a cultural and spiritual itinerary connecting villages, churches and trails across the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines. The project introduces four new themed circular cycling routes, also suitable for e-bikes, along with information points and dedicated digital content. Sarsina aims to promote slow tourism through the heritage of Saint Vicinio and the Latin playwright Plautus, with educational and cultural events. Designed for cycling enthusiasts, families and pilgrims, the project brings together sustainable mobility, spirituality and classical culture.

The San Vicinio Cycle Route is expanding and evolving with 4 new themed itineraries, designed to showcase the identity of the Romagna Apennines through landscapes, villages, archaeology, spirituality and local traditions. The project is part of the national Bici in Comune programme, promoted by the Ministry for Sport and Youth and Sport e Salute S.p.A., enabling the City of Sarsina to join a network of communities investing in active mobility as a driver of cultural, environmental and social development.
The goal is clear: to offer high-quality cycling routes that are safe, accessible and well-designed, bringing together nature, culture and local products.
