The traditional 300 km walking pilgrimage route is now complemented by a cycling route, allowing cyclists to explore the same places on two wheels.

The 325 km route, with over 8,000 metres of elevation gain, is suitable for mountain bikes and gravel bikes. It follows forest tracks, unpaved roads and quiet, low-traffic paved roads.

Starting in Sarsina, the route reaches Bagno di Romagna and crosses the Casentinesi Forests National Park. After crossing into Tuscany through Camaldoli and La Verna, it returns to Romagna in the municipality of Verghereto, before heading towards the plains around Cesena, passing through the gentle hills of the Upper Rubicon Valley and finally returning to Sarsina, the birthplace of the Roman playwright Plautus.

Along the way, picturesque villages invite cyclists to discover the region’s culinary specialities and enjoy the tranquillity and well-being that come from immersing themselves in the peaceful greenery of unspoilt nature.
